Do I have to fill out a questionnaire to plan for my shoot or can you just handle everything?
YES you absolutely have to complete a questionnaire each time you shoot with me.
Creating content for your brand requires your vision and input. I help you turn that vision into beautiful imagery. This is a team effort!
You are responsible for choosing your wardrobe and having an idea of what you would like to capture for your shoot. We’ll have a call to discuss your vision.
Is there additional time for changing wardrobe?
Time for wardrobe change is built into your session (Generally 15 minutes per outfit). So, if you have a 2.5 hour session with 2 wardrobe looks – you will have 2 hours of shooting time with 15 mins for each wardrobe change.
When will my images be ready/What is your turnaround time?
Within 7-10 days from the date of your shoot, you’ll receive a proof gallery to view and make your image selections. Your proof gallery will remain active for one week to give you time to make selections. Once your final selections are made, your final gallery will be delivered within 7-10 days from that date.
Where will we shoot?
Sessions take place in many different outdoor or public locations. Depending on your needs, the option to rent a studio or lifestyle space is always available. The cost associated with renting space would be your responsibility.
Can I choose the location for my shoot?
Yes, for sure!
However, it is very important that the chosen space has ample natural light coming in. I do not shoot in dark, moody spaces and we may have to choose another location if I check out your suggestion and it’s not suitable for shooting and capturing great images that match the aesthetic and style that you hired me for.
The best locations are those with white or light walls and great natural light.
Does my shoot include travel to the town I live in?
Your shoot includes travel within Palm Beach County (and extending areas depending on the package you’ve booked). For packages that only include local travel – additional rates will apply.
What if I need to reschedule my shoot?
No problem, I am happy to offer one courtesy reschedule provided notification is made 7 days prior. Any additional rescheduling requests will incur a cancellation plus rebooking fee in order to maintain the integrity of the appointment.
What rights do I have to my images?
You have the right to use the images for your own personal marketing on your website, social media and marketing materials. You may also print images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Winter Raven Photography.
Do you offer professional prints?
Yes, I do and this is a great option for displaying your brand images in your office or workspace.
Will I see every shot that you took from my shoot?
No. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product.
Can I have the raw/unedited images from my shoot?
No, I do not provide RAW, unprocessed files as I believe in delivering a finished product that will reflect the integrity of my work.
Will my photos be airbrushed / retouched?
Your images will not be airbrushed – however, they will undergo my standard retouching process with my unique signature style. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, clarity adjustments, and other corrections to deliver bright, colorful, quality images.
Should you desire slightly more skin softening and minor blemish correction within the scope of my abilities – this is available at an additional cost.
Can you remove unwanted items from the background?
Removing unwanted items from the background is considered advanced editing which is not something I offer. Should you desire for a photo to be retouched to this extent, there is an option to outsource the editing to a photoshop expert for an additional fee. Winter Raven Photography is not responsible for the quality of work completed by any outside source.
Do you shoot events?
I do not cover events at this time.
Do you provide videography?
Videography is available as an add on-service to any brand shoot. Inquire at the time of your Discovery Call.
Can you provide me with your rates via email?
No, a Discovery Call is required to discuss your interest and to answer any questions you may have.
We will discuss package pricing during this call.
Can we schedule a shoot for two weeks from now?
Sessions scheduled within this time frame are only available for headshots as branding requires significant planning.
However, if you are a Subscription client and a date two weeks out is available on my calendar then yes.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. Your contract will be available (along with your deposit invoice) in your proposal. Please read it.
Can I bring my crew to the shoot?
You are welcome to bring someone (not multiple people) to help you prepare and navigate during the shoot. Stylists and makeup artists should be booked and services completed prior.
Stylists are welcome to attend the shoot – however, depending on where we shoot, they may not be able to be in the same space with us at all times.
Can my friend take pictures while we shoot?
The person who accompanies you to a shoot may capture behind the scenes footage as long as they are not in the way of shooting. No standing directly behind me, or over my shoulder shooting the same shot as me etc.
How are payments handled?
A deposit is collected at the time of contract signing. Depending on the package you’ve selected, a second payment may be due two weeks from the date of your initial deposit. Final payments are due 7 days prior to the date of your originally scheduled shoot (even if your shoot is rescheduled).
There is a one day grace period for payments due. After this period, a $10 per day late fee will be incurred and enforced. Please be mindful of when invoices are due.
All payments are completed via invoice from Winter Raven Photography.
